What Kind of Information Does Google and Facebook Have on You?
(They see you when you’re sleeping. They know when you’re awake)
Google and Facebook have lots of information on almost all of us. Most of this information is probably pretty accessible to the state if it wanted it.
Google catches every single thing you do online if you’re using a Google-based feature, and Facebook has a record of everything you’ve ever said or “liked.” All of this data is being used to build very powerful personality profiles that are sold for profit and used in a variety of different ways. As previously reported by Gawker:1
“Every word of every email sent through Gmail and every click made on a Chrome browser is watched by the company. ‘We don’t need you to type at all,’ [Google co-founder Eric] Schmidt once said. ‘We know where you are. We know where you’ve been. We can more or less know what you’re thinking about.’” *
I don’t know about you, but I have long assumed this. Google’s great for search, but they don’t do this for “free.”
It’s important to realize that Google is also the world’s greatest artificial intelligence (AI) company, having purchased DeepMind for $400 million several years ago. DeepMind now employs over 700 AI researchers, the largest collection anywhere in the world.
They are responsible for defeating the human Go champion in 2017, which far exceeds the complexity of defeating a human chess champion. With this level of AI, it is not hard for them to sort through all your data with their deep learning algorithms to detect patterns that can be exploited for profit.
Also keep in mind that Google is pushing the envelope in robotics too. They are also deeply crony, playing with taxpayer money via defense contracts and other government facilitated deals.
Per Axios reporting, National Security Council Staff apparently have a network vision for a secure 5G wireless network for the U.S. military, that is ultimately capable of C3I (command, control, communications, and intelligence) of the “total situational-awareness,” necessary for the 21st century, “Internet of the Battlefield” of integrated, autonomous warfare of vehicles, drones, and robots. The unclassified NSC plan envisions four “financing/anchor tenants:” U.S. Air Force, General Services Administration (GSA), Alphabet-Google, and Wells Fargo.
Alphabet-Google-Waymo-Waze apparently has a commercial wireless ISP vision of being the no-bid, “financing/anchor tenant,” spectrum access administrator, general network-software contractor, and the monopoly citizen–location/maps/traffic/data–supplier, of an open, government-owned, commercially-shared, secure, 5G wireless network, ultimately capable of nationalized transportation traffic control and machine-to-machine management (with machine-learning) of human-driven vehicles and autonomous private vehicles, drones, and robots.
Not to be alarmist but if AI robocop drones start making patrols in your town you should be concerned. Might want to make sure the right to bare arms is secure.
*Schmidt founded a company specifically to get Hillary Clinton elected. It was called Groundwork. This is, no kidding, the “company’s” logo. Perhaps the creepiest I’ve ever seen.
