Michael Ruppert, author and former Los Angles Department officer, is dead of an apparent suicide.

He also appeared in several documentaries, Speaking about peak oil and abuses of government. He is best known for appearing in America: Freedom to Fascism. Ruppert was also an advocate for moving away from a fossil fuel economy.

The investigative journalist appeared at a Los Angeles high school, where John Deutch, then director of central intelligence, was speaking. He confronted the agency head, telling the crowd he had first-hand evidence of government complicity in drug smuggling. Deutch handled the confrontation poorly, and was removed from his post. Many political observers believe questioning by the journalist cost the intelligence director an appointment to become secretary of defense.

In 1992, People Magazine wrote “[I]n the course of investigations in the mid 70′s he came across information that the CIA was trading drugs in order to fund covert operations in the Middle East… [Ross] Perot called him back to offer encouragement… Ruppert says that his main objective is to see that the country gets a leader worthy of its people. Even for Ross Perot those will be tough shoes to fill.”

Ruppert was recently found dead, and authorities are stating he commited suicide.

The 63 year old was born in Washington DC, and attended the University of California. Three of his books investigating the events of 9-11 became best sellers.

Ruppert was also the publisher of From the Wilderness, a political newsletter read by people in 50 nations. More than 60 members of Congress subscribe to the publication.

Little reliable information is available so far, and followers of Ruppert are sharing speculations about the reason behind his death.

Ruppert was criticized for his claims about the government bringing drugs into the United States. But, recent evidence proved his statements to be accurate.

The investigative journalist was founder of the Collapse Network, which works to raise awareness about peak oil, and the decline of oil reserves.

We bring you now the latest from the Bundy Ranch, where the militia has arrived in support of Cliven Bundy in his stand off against the Federal Government, where the Bureau of Land Management has surrounded his ranch with snipers, helicopters and heavy equipment.

Governor Sandoval and Sen. Dean Heller have condemned the actions of the BLM:

The governor has released a statement: “No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans.”

Sheriff Richard Mack, of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, has declared the Governor’s words to be, just that – WORDS – and that immediate action on the part of the Governor should be take to call off the pending Range War.

Radio Host Pete Santilli of Guerrilla Media Network, is standing by on the scene where the Militia has arrived to support the Bundy Family.

Rusty Hill a former Land Broker who worked in that area for nearly 20 years issued this to our news room,

“It is not about turtles it is about water. There are developers working for military contractors that want that land and water for mining weapons grade minerals for industry… they want to sell the land by the highway for real estate development because it’s close to I-15 and the Bundy’s have been refusing to sell what they actually own directly for over 20 years. Many buyers sent me out there with crazy offers for that land for many years. It is prime real estate not worthless desert. There is a natural gas pipeline going through there and lots of water under ground too. Somebody connected to a military corporation is using political power and the BLM to muscle those people out.”

We go now to Pete Santilli on the scene where the Militia has arrived.

About:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Barack Obama are working both sides of the Atlantic this week. But their mutual target is Russia. Reid is busy on Capitol Hill in that regard, while the President is on a week long European tour. While Reid and Obama are wrestling with several issues besides Russia, they’re sending a mutual message that the U.S. will punish Russia for its military operation in Ukraine.

Furthermore, a pricey aid package for the newly installed Ukrainian government based in Kiev is in the works.

President Obama is meeting with leaders from the G-7 nations. His stop in Holland yesterday was widely regarded as an attempt to isolate Russian President Vladimir Putin and deter him from moving his forces beyond the Crimean peninsula and further into Ukraine.

Obama and the G-7 allies have also firmed up their decision to remove Russia from the annual G-8 economic summit. The removal appears to be official, which is why the G-8 is now being called the G-7.

Notably, the G-7 will meet in June 2014 in Brussels, Belgium, to discuss what organizers say is “a broad agenda.”

But what Obama and his allies are doing overseas has a way of softening up the folks back home in America—to justify foreign aid for Ukraine.

On the home front, Sen. Reid is stumping for an aid package for Ukraine as Congress embarks on a marathon session this week. Reid expects the Senate to work right through the weekend as President Obama wraps up his overseas trip.

For the record, the Senate:
· Will reconsider extending jobless benefits.
· Furthermore, unless Congress takes corrective action by April 1st, Medicare reimbursements to doctors will be slashed by nearly 25%.
· Reid also wants to officially raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. But Republican support is lacking on that so far.

However, the first order of business this week will be the Ukraine-aid bill, which calls for $1 billion in loan guarantees.

Reid noted: “I am hopeful and somewhat confident that this legislation will receive the bipartisan support it deserves.”

But does a Ukraine-aid bill really deserve support?

During this busy phase in Washington, the missing argument is that the U.S. can scarcely afford the time and the money to play both sides of the ocean to aid Ukraine via the IMF.
Foreign aid is preferable to going to war, but the Constitution is silent on foreign aid. This means that the national charter does not authorize providing such aid in the first place.

Earlier this month, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew announced: “[I]t’s important to note that for every dollar the United States contributes to the IMF, other countries provide 4 dollars more.”

Lew added that the U.S. has developed an actual “package of bilateral assistance focused on meeting the most pressing needs in Ukraine, to include a 1 billion-dollar loan guarantee.”

Lew also has urged Congress to approve legislation to “support the capacity of the International Monetary Fund to lend additional resources to Ukraine.”

However, if money must be spent, it’s arguably better to avoid Medicare cuts and extend jobless aid for Americans—instead of extending foreign aid.

Indeed, all this talk in Congress and by President Obama to isolate Russia misses a key point.

That point is as follows: In a way, America needs to isolate itself from world commitments which force U.S. taxpayers to guarantee international loans. Like never before, the U.S. needs to get its own house in order.

Simply put, we need to operate on a more nationalistic impulse—not more internationalism.

NORTH KOREAN MISSILES BUZZ PASSENGER JET

A missile launch by the military forces of North Korea came just a few minutes away from striking a passenger jet.

The reclusive communist nation stated the launches were tests of defensive military systems. They claim these actions were justified under international law.

Firings of the new launch system began on February 21st, and last over a week. On Tuesday, one of the weapons passed in front of a Chinese passenger jet. Just a few minutes later, the craft, full of men, women and children, flew into the same airspace as the weapon.

North Korea told the international community the accuracy of the new missiles guaranteed the weapons would not strike civilian targets.

According to defense officials in South Korea, the government of Pyongyang gave no advance warning of the tests. The government is Seoul is upset about the launches, which they say endangered populations.

Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said, “Such North Korean provocations violate international navigation orders and pose a serious threat to civilian safety.” (1)

The U.N. Has accused the government of horrendous crimes against humanity. North Korea denies the charges, calling them lies.

The state news agency, KCNA, said the elections were a chance to “demonstrate once again the might of single-minded unity by [residents] casting ballots for their candidates.” (2)

Kim Jong UN is standing for election this year for the first time. There is little chance of him losing, as he is the only candidate on the ballot.

These tests did not injure anyone, but North Korea is showing a lack of safety protocols. The isolationist regime is likely to possess nuclear weapons. When you have that kind of power, nations will watch your missile tests carefully.

With Kim Jong UN at the head of the nation, that may be a good idea.

Gerald Celente: Banker Suicides Prequel to Global Collapse – The onset of the great depression of the 1930′s brought a spike in banker suicides, Will Rogers noted of the time, “When Wall Street took that tail spin, you had to stand in line to get a window to jump out of, and speculators were selling space for bodies in the East River.”

Winston Churchill – the day after Black Friday – observed, “Under my very window a gentleman cast himself down fifteen stories and was dashed to pieces, causing a wild commotion and the arrival of the fire brigade,”

Nearly Eighty-five years later the phenomenon of banker suicides appears to have returned.

The week of January 20th would be the last for Swiss Re AG communications director Tim Dickenson but wouldn’t be the last in a string of deaths and suicides for International bankers.

Just days after Dickenson’s death on January 26, police found former Deutsche Bank executive Bill Broeksmit in his South Kensington London home after he’d hung himself.

The next day on January 27, JP Morgan senior manager Gabriel Magee, jumped 500 feet to his death from JP Morgan’s central London Headquarters he was a 39-year-old

A few days later on January 29, Cheif Economist for Seattle based Russel investments, Mike Dueker, was reported missing by friends, he was found later at the base of a 50 foot embankment. Police called it a suicide.

On February 4th, in a bizarre manner of death, the coroner ruled Suicide for Richard Talley, 57 who founded American Title Services in Centennial, Colorado. He had a total of eight wounds to his body and head – the method of death – a Nail Gun.

Last week on, February 17th, Dennis Li Junjie jumped to his death, shortly after lunch, from a the roof of the Asian headquarters for JP Morgan – he was only 33.

In the last eight months there have been at least 12 reported deaths of bankers perishing under questionable circumstances.

High stress banking careers are being blamed for the recent suicides. However, the answer may not be that simple.

Returning to the program, via Skype from his New York office, to give us insight into these deaths is Gerald Celente publisher of the Trends Journal.

Obama Killing Whales for Oil Companies

Could whales be driven to extinction by a new order from the Obama Administration? Environmentalists say the administration may have sold out the species to oil company interests. Only 500 of the highly-intelligent, social mammals are known to exist in the world. They make seasonal migrations up and down the east coast of the United States.

Oil companies want to explore areas offshore for oil. Many of these grounds have been drilled before, but industry officials say new technology could find reserves in areas once believed to be dry.

A new sonic gun will create massive shock waves that will travel through the water, and through the sea bed. These guns will fire every ten seconds, 24 hours a day, for over a year.

Suzie Hodges of Oceana said “It’s disruptive, destructive, and directly threatens the survival of marine creatures like dolphins, whales, and turtles.” (1)

Whales, dolphins and other marine animals depend on sound for navigation and communication. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management estimates over 138,000 marine mammals could be injured or killed by the order. Sonic guns are powerful enough to kill eggs or larvae in areas they are used. They can also cause temporary or permanent hearing loss in whales and dolphins.

Exploration was due to begin in 2011, but the plan was delayed after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010. Environmentalists were given until 2017 before sonic guns would be put into operation.

The Interior Department, under President Obama, has recommended the use of the guns by oil producers now.

The blasts could endanger not just the marine mammals, but hundreds of thousands of jobs along the coast, as well.

Jacqueline Savitz of Oceana said, “By failing to consider relevant science, the Obama administration’s decision could be a death sentence for many marine mammals, needlessly turning the Atlantic Ocean into a blast zone. If seismic airguns are allowed in the Atlantic, it will jeopardize wildlife as well as commercial and recreational fisheries, tourism and coastal recreation — putting more than 730,000 jobs in the blast zone at risk.” (2)

Petroleum company executives are praising the decision. With this decision from the Obama Administration, the fate of the right whale is now in the hands of the oil corporations.

Comcast Merger and the FCC controlling the news?

WASHINGTON DC | The merger between Comcast and Time-Warner cable is a concern to many independent cable providers and others. Critics of the merger, like our guest today believe the purchase will create a monopoly that will dominate the marketplace. When Comcast recently purchased NBC Universal, the company pressed hard for Federal approval. It is interesting to note that FCC Commissioner Meredith Attwell, soon after approving the deal, was hired by Comcast. The terms of her employment deal have never been disclosed.

Other than a former FCC Commissioner in their employ – Comcast has close ties to the Obama Administration that may help rubber stamp the merger. Comcast CEO, Brian Roberts, has enjoyed Golf outings with President Obama on Martha’s Vineyard, while Comcast Executive Vice President David Cohen is a frequent White House guest and major fundraiser for the Democratic Party.

This relationship may underscore NBC’s ongoing coverage of President Obama as Comcast owns NBC – It may also explain the recent move by the FCC to install Government minders in newsrooms across the country – quizzing reporters and editors on how they select stories – a move that was highly criticized and has since been canceled by the White House.

Our guest today to break down the Comcast/Time Warner merger and the FCC’s failed Newsroom Monitoring Program is the director for media and democracy – Todd O’Boyle – his organization – “Common Cause” at CommonCause.org

NATION | Could dangerous chemicals be hiding in the foods Americans eat and drink every day? They just may be more common than you think. For thousands of years, people have sweetened food and drinks with honey and sugar. Some people, concerned with calories, use artificial sweeteners, like aspartame. Some early sugar substitutes were found to cause cancer, and have other ill effects on health.

Many critics charge these artificial additives pose dangers of their own. Many people point out unusual ingredients that go into such sweeteners. Splenda, for instance, is manufactured using chlorine. Skeptics say such food additives also play havoc with human metabolism. Aspartame has even been charged with causing brain tumors, heart attacks and seizures.

Mike Adams is known as the Health Ranger. He is an activist for healthy foods. Adams is one of the leading voices in America about the dangers of artificial sweeteners.

Adams is our guest on the show today. We will talk about what is really in the foods we eat every day. We will also discuss the history of the artificial sweetener industry, and health effects of the chemicals. The future of the industry will be covered, and we’ll learn what you can do to ensure better health for yourself and your family.
