Why Paul Ryan is a BAD Choice…

The Republican Party has chosen another big-government fake conservative to run on the ticket in 2012. Looks like they are gearing up to have their base stay home (again) this year likely causing Obama to get reelected. Perhaps in 2016 they will learn that only a real conservative as their nominee will allow them to win the White House.

Paul Ryan’s Budget:

- It led to 10 more years of deficit spending
- It added between $5-11 TRILLION dollars to the national debt
- It spent a total of $40 TRILLION over the next 10 years
- His plan REQUIRED the debt ceiling to be raised
- It was an obviously unbalanced budget (in fact it doesn’t fully balance until the year 2040)
- It increased spending over the next few years (it merely slows the rate of spending, not actually cutting spending anytime soon)
- It was was bigger than what we had under Bill Clinton

Mitt Romney was greeted by Polish supporters of Texas Rep. Ron Paul as his motorcade passed through Gdansk on Monday. Volunteers from the Romney campaign struggled in vain to use umbrellas to block a large Ron Paul banner from sight, Bonney Kapp of CBS News reports.

The Paul supporters’ sign read, “Polish Choice – Ron Paul Kongres Nowej Prawicy.”  Kongres Nowej Prawicy stands for “Congress of the New Right” and is the name of a libertarian-conservative Polish political party founded last year.

A July 28 posting on the party’s website called for displaying a banner in support of Ron Paul during Romney’s visit. The post explains that the party believes Paul would be a better choice for the GOP.

“Elektable”

“Elektable” is a short fictional film about Ron Paul and the amazing political revolution he has inspired. The movie explores truth in the media and how it secretly holds a deep affection for Dr. Paul.

This film features copyrighted content. Feel free to share this official version far and wide but please do not re-edit this film and share online.

On a more serious note, Ron Paul still has a chance to win the GOP nomination. This will only happen if a majority of Americans realize that he is the true champion of the people. No amount of money and blatant blackouts can deny Dr. Paul the nomination if enough people get behind him and his message.

The film was written and directed by Jeremy Richter, a filmmaker from Chicago. Mr. Richter has worked on hundreds of TV commercials, brand films and corporate videos. In 2008, he served as Writer/Director for the full length feature film “Discovering Deerpath” (Rated “G”, 124 minutes, with Bill Kurtis). Mr. Richter has worked directly with a range of celebrities, including Anchorman 1 & 2 star Bill Kurtis, hip hop artist Ludacris, Apollo 8 & 13 Astronaut Jim Lovell, golf Legend Arnold Palmer and World War II icon Greeley Wells (who brought the stars and stripes onto Iwo Jima).

Paul backers triumphant at Iowa GOP convention

Ron Paul loyalists were triumphant at the Iowa GOP convention today, overcoming an attempt to knock very well-organized members of the liberty movement off the national convention rolls.

“The movement has a huge responsibility when it goes to Tampa to show Iowa we’re a real movement and we’re not there to be ramble rousers,” said Dubuque Republican Dave Cushman, a liberty activist and new GOP state central committee member.

After a two-day tug-of-war marked by bouts of angry shouting, Iowa Republicans elected 25 delegates to send to the national convention in Florida in late August.

By far, the majority will be Paul backers – much to the disappointment of some Iowa Republicans who wanted to send a more mixed “unity” delegation to vote for all-but-certain nominee Mitt Romney.

Cushman said he doesn’t anticipate any attempt to nominate Paul as president instead of Romney – members of the liberty movement simply want to espouse the Paul message.

“The goal is not to embarrass the party,” he said. “The goal is to make the party stronger and broaden the base, and walk the Republican talk.”

Delegates at the state convention today voted 794 to 689 to approve the official, Paul-heavy at-large slate. And Friday night, 11 of the 12 district delegates elected are backed by the Paul movement.

The real sequence of events leading up to the Rand Paul announcement

The real sequence of events leading up to the Rand Paul announcement

The real sequence of events leading up to the Rand Paul announcement

Video: Ron Paul's speech shows no signs of rolling over to the establishment.

Make no mistake about it, the pundits claiming that Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney would be good for his political future in the long-run are absolutely wrong.  In my opinion, Rand Paul just committed political suicide and we may never know all the reasons behind his decision or the timing of this disastrous announcement.  Rumors had been widely circulating that there were serious death threats upon his father, Ron Paul.  There has also long-been claims that many on Ron’s paid campaign staff have been undermining his campaign, all along.  At this point, we do not know whether Rand came to this decision as a result of bad people around him giving him terrible advice or if he was the sacrificial lamb trying to take the heat off of his father.

It was somewhat interesting that Rand made a point to mention that his conversation with Romney occurred in Washington.  Could this have been his way of confirming four witnesses’ claims of seeing Mitt Romney at the Bilderberg Group’s secretive meeting in nearby Virginia?  He also knows that the social conservative base has been hard for his father to win over.  Mentioning about how much the Romneys and Pauls have in common regarding family values was a bit odd considering the question but delivering it to a Sean Hannity audience was also quite interesting.

The real sequence of these events seems to have been misunderstood.  Let us remember that Rand Paul met with Romney days before Ron Paul sent out an email claiming that he will not have enough delegates to win the nomination.  I believe the email was actually an attempt to try to soften the blow of his son’s endorsement that Ron would have to be politically savvy enough to realize would be a huge mistake.  As a statesman that has fought his entire career to promote the original principles of our constitution and the individual freedom and liberty of the American people, it would be expected that he probably gives his son the individual respect to make his own decisions as an adult.  He probably tried to talk him out of it, but we may never know that part of the story.  Regardless, the email may likely have been an attempt to lessen the blow of his son’s decision giving the pundits the reasoning that he did not officially endorse Romney until after his father’s email.  Although the public announcement was made after the email, the decision to endorse Mitt Romney was probably made before it.

Mitt Romney Spent Thousands on Private Planes

0

Source: http://abcnews.go.com

By Emily Friedman

The Mitt Romney campaign spent nearly $100,000 more on private planes than commercial flights during the third fundraising quarter, according to financial disclosure reports made public today.

The campaign spent $233,911 on three private aviation companies listed in the report as “air travel.” Marquis Jet Partners, described on its website as “the gold standard for private aviation,” was paid more than $135,000 by the campaign.

Commercial airlines didn’t get as big of a payout from the Romney group. Ten different airlines were flown, but cost the campaign far less than the private digs, totaling $134,228.

Southwest Airlines, which was featured in an August tweet by Romney, who thanked his flight crew for an “easy flight,” received $14,212 of Romney’s money.

In public, Romney has made every effort to shed his multimillionaire image that some say makes his battle to relate to the average voter even harder. According to public finance records, Romney is worth between $190 and $250 million.

Since launching his campaign in June, Romney has used Twitter to publicize events such as his flight on Southwest. Another published tweet showed the candidate eating a Subway sandwich and another depicted Romney eating in a fast food restaurant with his family.

But none of these tweets mentioned anything about the private flights that today’s financial records expose.

A spokeswoman for the campaign did not immediately respond to a request for a comment.

Mitt Romney’s Most Out-of-Touch Moments

By Julian Brookes

Mitt Romney drew plenty of chuckles and faux-outrage recently when, during a campaign stop in New Hampshire, he smilingly said: “I like to be able to fire people who provide services to me.” His Republican rivals were quick to jump all over his remarks as those of a cold-hearted multimillionaire predatory capitalist out of touch with the concerns of ordinary Americans. (An inwardly-rejoicing Rick Santorum, for one, sternly noted that this was “not a good message” for voters to hear at a time of grinding economic hardship.) Romney tried to clarify that he was talking about “firing” health insurance companies that offer inadequate coverage (so everybody pipe down).

And maybe he had a point. But the thing is, Romney does come across like a guy whose daily struggles, whatever they may be, don’t relate in any way to money, and who isn’t the greatest at “relating” to the plight of your average voter, circa 2012. And it’s not just his history as a job-slashing private equity titan. It’s his comic habit of demonstrating his out-of-touchness time and time again, by, say, challenging an opponent to a $10,000 bet, or to digging around in his wallet for ages to find anything smaller than a hundred dollar bill, or … well, check out our all-new “Mitt’s Most Out-of-Touch Moments” slideshow and see for yourself.

Mitt Romney. Was he a job creator or a corporate raider?

That’s the question this film answers.

And it’s not pretty.

Mitt Romney was not a capitalist during his reign at Bain. He was a predatory corporate raider. His firm didn’t seek to create value. Instead, like a scavenger, Romney looked for businesses he could pick apart. Indeed, he represented the worst possible kind of predator, operating within the law but well outside the bounds of what most real capitalists consider ethical.

He is exhibit number one the left wants to use in the coming election to give capitalism a bad name.

He and his friends at Bain were bad guys. Any real capitalists should disavow Romney’s ‘creative destruction’ model that made him wealthy at the expense of thousands of American jobs.

Mitt Romney and his cronies pioneered ‘deindustrialization,’ a process by which they searched out vulnerable companies, took them over, loaded them with debt, and collected obscene fees while doing so. He sent jobs overseas or killed them altogether, and then picked apart the remains – including pension funds – before the companies went bankrupt.

Some might call that the free market. Most of us think its just plain wrong.

If you wonder why America has lost so many manufacturing jobs overseas, look no further than Mitt Romney — the King of Bain.

Think you know Mitt?

Think again…

Personally, I have heard and seen enough.  We all know, or should know Romney is Wall Street, never a doubt about it.  Then you have the choice of Gingrich, the only Speaker of the House to be found guilty of ethics violations and fined $300k.  Also Gingrich is pushing for the removal of Clinton for having an affair while he is conducting the same actions.  Let us not forget his strong support for FRD.  Big dollar lobbyist earning millions advising those who carried out actions were a major contributor to the housing collapse.  More on Gingrich here and here.  Let’s not forget Santorum, listed as 3rd most corrupt while in office in 2006 and his record of betrayalSantorum currently is promoting his plans to bomb Iran.

All supporting pro Wall Street, pro war, pro status quo.  Thankfully, this is not all we have to choose from.  I will choose the only person the supports freedom, personal liberty and the Constitution.  It is not even a choice, it is simply common sense.
