I understand your thoughts or think that I know where you are coming from. Focus is needed on the current problems, which are many. Based on that aspect I will agree with you. But we have gotten to a point in the election cycle where we can pose a challenge to the current administration via diplomatic means. As my personal choice is to not have Mr. Obama represent us, we the people, for a second term, I focus on the possible opposition besides ourselves.
Of those we have many Republicans which folks are trying to decide amongst, as a challenge to the Obama presidency. As many may choose Republican verses Independent I feel we need to understand the choices at hand so a best thought out decision can be made. As the policies do not change from one party to another I feel voting a “party line” is like betting on the home team, even though they have not won a game in three years. To over simplify, Obama is Bush’s third term, while we know it is the puppet masters that are actually laying out the economic and foreign policy.
Should we review the Republican candidates we see much of the status quo. Newt Gingrich which has supported Tarp bailouts, carbon taxes (Cap & Trade), amnesty and was the only Speaker of the House to be fined $300k for ethics violations, fail and member of CFL.
Then comes Romney, many of the same leftist traits, oops, that was last year, and a true corporatist vs. Newt being a globalist. Romney flip flopping on abortion and more issues than I have time to type. Another Wall Street puppet. Then yo have Perry, would you really buy a used car from this man? Corruption, vaccines, bogus unemployment, job growth etc.
Then we have Dr. Paul, a defender of the Constitution, a supporter of free markets, sound fiscal policies, personal freedom and responsibilities. He has correctly spoke of the problem and the solution for 25 years.
Please remember, your definition of “common knowledge” is based on your consequences, not fact of the general populace. We all focus on the current problems, whether understanding the true root cause or not. AS we have a one party system and are looking for real choices the options must be researched.
BTW, I am only partisan to Freedom and Liberty.

Why do we keep bringing up that which is comon knowledge about those that are hopefully trying to get the top Rep. spot? Why not concentrate on the present regime and all of the unethical things that havebeen/are presently going on now? It would seem as though chrisinmaryville is one of those partisan canibals himself….

I don’t recall people being illegally bombed and murdered by Gingrich, like Obama did in Libya, WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL CONSENT, nor slaughtered with U.S. combat weapons illegally sold to Mexican Cartels, and people murdered at Obama’s & Holder’s responsibility,,, going after Gingrich for Cash is just a political stage play by Democrat Socialists to discredit him, and gain some money in the process, and then continue to cover up the Forgery, International Terrorism, and Murders they have been illegally engaging in, in criminal violation of the U.S. Constitution and ALL ETHICS.
